Caring for a child’s future:
Being a child is about development and development requires the mastering of crises, including illnesses.
At the Gemeinschaftskrankenhaus we develop individual treatment plans which are anchored in an understanding of the child and child development and based upon conventional medicine and medical science, extended by anthroposophic medicine.
We offer a comprehensive range of advanced medical procedures for diagnosing acute and chronic illnesses in children.
Our service spectrum includes:
Within the framework of our overall patient care concept, we fully integrate parents or guardians into the therapeutic community. In the case of premature infants, infants or toddlers, as a matter of course a parent may accompany the child and is admitted to the hospital simultaneously. Older, school-going children who are hospitalized for long periods of time can, by arrangement, attend the adjoining Ita Wegmann Hospital School, a Waldorf school for children who are ill or in recovery.
Together with parents we see ourselves as carrying joint responsibility for the overall healthy development of the children in our care.
