Anaesthesia

Being a modern anaesthesia department we have a broad range of anaesthetic methods, both regional and general, at our disposal and together with you we will choose the appropriate method for you and the treatment that you may require.

Perioperative Medicine
You are being cared for before, during and after any surgery or other painful therapeutic or diagnostic measures.

Intensive Medicine
We oversee pain therapy and treatment in the intensive care and intermediate care wards, both technically and organisationally.
Care for patients with acute or postoperative pains is a main focus of our department.

Emergency Medicine
Our specialists are present in all life-threatening emergencies, everywhere in the hospital and in the accident and emergency unit. In addition to that they are part of the emergency physician shift of the Ennepe-Ruhr area.

Therapy
We enable highly effective therapies or artificial nutrition with considerately applied venous catheters and port systems.

Transfusion Medicine
We organise and oversee the professional use of blood transfusions and offer autologous blood treatment in cooperation with the local blood donation centres.

Training
We are actively taking part in the training of physicians, care workers, medical students and paramedic trainees.
